Why have I created this training for birth professionals?
Because not long ago I was a plus size person navigating a maternity system that is often unkind and discriminating to people living in bigger bodies. I experienced first hand the stress and unnecessary worry fat folks are faced with every day during what is meant to be a joyful time.
I believe birth professionals have an amazing opportunity to shift the narrative surrounding plus size pregnancy. They have the ability to provide compassionate support that is inclusive and free of weight stigma. I want YOU to create spaces of connection, respect and joy for people of all sizes. I want you to have the knowledge and practical tools so you can enhance the services you already offer.
I KNOW ONCE YOU COME OUT THE OTHER SIDE OF THIS TRAINING YOU WILL FEEL CONFIDENT AND INSPIRED TO SUPPORT THOSE IN THE FAT COMMUNITY.
